Tenai
Another Brighton DRAW photographs, this time of Tenai. I really liked this image and the fact that such a large portion of her face was in shadow, yet had a very intriguing expression.
I would nominally use stumps to help blend and smooth the pencil marks, but chose not to here, simply keeping the marks quite rough in the appearance - with the exception of the earrings and the head scarf. However, I think this is the wrong way around, it actually draws the viewer attention away from the face to the headscarf - which was not my intention. So this is a learning for next time.
